Adoro Ellipsis Zine. Uno dei miei primissimi racconti, e un racconto a cui sono particolarmente affezionata (Like Making Bread) \u00e8 stato pubblicato l\u00ec e in generale pubblicano sempre racconti fantastici. Cos\u00ec ero felicissima quando Steve Campbell ha accettato di dare una “casa” a questo mio racconto che guarda caso riguarda una casa. Ho scritto la prima bozza durante uno degli incontri organizzati col mio gruppo a Geneva. E’ ispirato a un’opear dell’artista canadese David Blackwood intitolata Hauling Job Sturge’s House<\/em>, del 1979.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ecco come comincia:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They came from the village right before dawn, covered in thick wool clothes that left just enough space for the arms to move. I could only see their eyes through the gap between the berets and the scarves. They entered the house, an empty skeleton by now, all its contents safe. If anything, I had to appreciate that, at least. Many of these people had not been as lucky, the waters had come first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line, following Byrne\u2019s lead, they removed one glove to shake my hand, and pat my back. The small procession reminded me of when my grandfather died, and then my father after him. Always in this house by the cliff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
