Ho scritto questo racconto umoristico seguendo un prompt lanciato at Flash Fiction Online Festival<\/strong>, e sono felicissima che Funny Pearls<\/a><\/strong>, rivista umoristica online dedicata all’humour femminile, abbia scelto di pubblicarlo. Come nella pi\u00f9 classica delle commedie, \u00e8 una storia di famiglie e di incomprensioni. Ecco l’inizio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My dad owns a pastry shop. He makes jam doughnuts and brownies. He makes French pastries and apple pies. He makes them because that\u2019s what most clients want here in Bexley but every now and then, he\u2019ll slip onto the counter a tray of cannoli<\/em> filled with ricotta<\/em> and topped with pistachios, or a platter of miniature marzipan fruits, so perfect they look real, or a cake-stand bearing a huge cassata<\/em>, its translucent sugary covering topped with candied citrus fruits…”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
