Nel 2011 ero a Torino a presentare Il Vino in Italia, e mi presi un po’ di tempo per visitare la mostra di un famoso fotografo. Era una selezione di foto fatte a scuola, a Parigi, nel 1956, oltre ad altri lavori. Ho pensato a quelle foto, e a una didascalia che lessi in quell’occasione, per molte volte. Ecco il racconto che ho finalmente scritto, ispirato a quella mostra. E’ stato pubblicato da Sundial Magazine<\/strong> e illustrato brillantemente da Sandra Eckert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The photographer arrives in the classroom with his camera around the neck. The teacher doesn’t need to tell the pupils to be quiet, the camera is enough to spread the silence between them, but she does tell them who the man is. She says he is famous, and his photos have been published as far as the United States. The children raise their hands to ask the same question: Pouvons-nous jeter un \u0153il? Can we take a look?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They’ve never seen a camera so big. He lets them come closer, mais<\/em> ne touchez pas<\/em>…”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
