I have lost count of all the songs that
\nWith a word or an entire strophe,
\nReaching my ears in the random sequence
\nOf a bored radio wandering
\nHave reminded me of you and of your absence
\nWhen the distraction and the tedium
\nOf the commuters\u2019 traffic had pulled down
\nThe multi-coloured tinfoil armour
\nOf which I was so proud.<\/p>\n
From now on, no more songs:
\nI\u2019m switching off the radio and
\nFrom a randomness decided by me alone
\nLet emerge only symphonies and nocturnes,
\nPiano solos and concertos,
\nNotes and pauses, nothing else.<\/p>\n
Never again, after sliding down
\nThe railroads of harmonies
\nWill words crash against my mended heart:
\nLike an old doll
\nPatched with scraps of green silk
\nStripped from a worn parachute.<\/p>\n
